The dance hall was founded in 1952 and has maintained its original purpose since opening. It has been managed by the Somerniemi Volunteer Fire Department, which uses revenue to support their operations.
The venue keeps Finnish dance traditions alive by hosting regular Saturday dance nights from May to September. Thursday evenings feature dedicated dance nights for women, continuing a long-standing custom at the location.
The location is at Salkolantie 77 in Somerniemi and is easily accessible by car. Visitors can pay using cards or mobile payment systems, and the site offers everything needed for a comfortable visit.
