Plage des Salines

Plage des Salines is a white sand beach in Sainte-Anne with shallow turquoise waters stretching for about one kilometer. The shoreline is backed by coconut palms and divides into several sections with varying features and facilities.

The beach was once centered around salt production before shifting to recreational use over time. Major restoration efforts reshaped the area following a major storm that damaged the coastline.

The beach's name comes from the salt marshes that once thrived in this area, reflecting its role in local history. Today it remains a gathering place where both islanders and visitors come to enjoy the sea.
