Cap Macré Beach

Cap Macré Beach is a sand beach along the Atlantic coast in Le Marin, Martinique, where white sand meets coconut palms. The water here is clear, and you can see waves breaking against distant coral reefs from the shore.

The beach has long marked the boundary between the communes of Le Marin and Sainte-Anne. It served as a navigation point for local maritime activities throughout history.

Local people gather at wooden picnic tables along the shore for family meals and social meetings. These spaces have become central to how residents spend their leisure time.

The beach has no facilities, so bring your own drinks and snacks. The access roads from Le Marin center are narrow, so allow extra time to find your way there.

Natural tidal pools form among the rocky sections, where the water stays exceptionally warm from the sun. These shallow basins are great for observing marine life up close.
