Château de Vault-de-Lugny

Château de Vault-de-Lugny is a medieval fortress featuring a square tower dating from the 15th century and an expansive courtyard layout. Defensive water channels and covered arcades run around the property, reflecting its original military function.

The original fortification was built in 1120 as a stronghold for a younger son of the House of Arcy. Major reconstruction in 1450 under Guy de Jaucourt transformed it into the structure visitors see today.
