Château de la Pommerie, 18th century castle in Val de Louyre et Caudeau, France
The northern facade of Château de la Pommerie features five mansard windows, stone dormers, and wrought iron balconies on the central pavilion.
The castle belonged to the Lostanges family until 1792, when it was sold as national property to Mr. Albucher, President of the Mussidan Court.
The castle houses a museum dedicated to Napoleon I, displaying over 600 artifacts including paintings, sculptures, and historical objects from the imperial period.
The Napoleon Museum opens daily except Saturdays from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, allowing visitors to explore the imperial collections and castle architecture.
In 1976, Prince Napoleon and his sister Marie-Clotilde transferred a substantial portion of their imperial inheritance to the French government for preservation.
