Abbaye de Cruas

The Abbaye de Cruas is a Romanesque abbey church in southern France with construction spanning over two centuries in distinct phases. The building contains a main nave, an underground crypt with decorated capitals, and a choir featuring intricate stonework from the 12th century.

Construction began in the 11th century and continued through the early 13th century with changes in style and layout. Religious conflicts in the centuries that followed caused damage that was later repaired.
