Campus de Grandmont, University campus in Tours, France
Campus de Grandmont is a university facility in southern Tours located within a forested area. It contains roughly twenty buildings housing lecture halls, research laboratories, and technical facilities across multiple academic disciplines.
Development began in the mid-1960s within the natural woodland park and expanded gradually until the late 1990s when the pharmacy faculty was added. This gradual growth shaped the structure and character of the site today.
The campus brings together students from different fields of study, from pharmacy to computing, and creates spaces where disciplines naturally interact. The laboratories and lecture halls reflect this diversity and support cross-disciplinary work throughout the day.
Visitors can reach the campus by bus, including Tempo 2 line, or via bicycle paths that connect to the city center. Access points are clearly marked and available from multiple directions.
The western side of the campus houses two student residence buildings accommodating around 1300 residents living near specialized laboratories for biomedical research. This proximity allows students to engage directly with ongoing research projects.
