Tours railway station, Historic railway station in Tours, France
The Tours railway station features six platforms serving twelve tracks, connecting regional and national rail services in western France.
Built in 1846, the current passenger building was redesigned between 1896 and 1898 by architect Victor Laloux with limestone construction.
Four limestone statues representing French cities decorate the station facade, created by sculptors Jean Antoine Injalbert and Jean-Baptiste Hugues.
Located at Place du General-Leclerc, the station provides connections to tram line A and multiple bus routes of the Fil Bleu network.
The station interior underwent restoration in 2013, including the reinstatement of original gold leaf details from Laloux's initial design.
