Grand Hall, Entertainment venue in Tours, France

Grand Hall is a performance hall in the Rochepinard district of Tours, part of the 27-hectare Parc des Expositions. Its main space covers 10,000 square metres with no intermediate support points, so it can be arranged for concerts, conferences, conventions, exhibitions, trade fairs, sports events and musicals. The photograph shows a wide building with a low, gently curving roofline, a continuous band of rectangular glass windows in a light-coloured frame above a pale lower wall, and three large white peaked tents standing in a row in front of the facade.

The Grand Hall is part of the 27-hectare Parc des Expositions de Tours in the Rochepinard district. Its acoustics were designed by architect Albert Yaying Xu, a member of the Audio Engineering Society and the French and Danish acoustics associations. On 11 November 2016 a concert by Les Insus drew 15,000 spectators, above the hall's theoretical maximum of 12,000.

The Grand Hall serves as the primary location for the annual Japan Tours Festival, drawing thousands of visitors to celebrate Japanese culture.

Capacity ranges from 4,000 to 12,000 people depending on the configuration. The hall sits within the 27-hectare Parc des Expositions de Tours in the Rochepinard district, reached by car from the A10, by train via Saint-Pierre-des-Corps station, or by Fil bleu buses 3a and 3b at the Parc Expo stop. During large events such as the Foire de Tours or the Japan Tours Festival, a shuttle bus (line 83) links Tours station with the Parc Expo and Grand Hall stops.

The acoustics were designed by Albert Yaying Xu, a member of the Audio Engineering Society and the French Acoustical Society, who has also worked on the Philharmonie de Luxembourg and the Cité de la musique in Paris. The hall's record attendance came on 11 November 2016, when a concert by Les Insus drew 15,000 spectators, above its theoretical maximum of 12,000.
