Château de Boulogne, Medieval castle in Saint-Michel-de-Boulogne, France.
The castle features a Renaissance châtelet, a monumental terrace bridge built over a 15-meter vault, and three round defense towers from different construction periods.
The initial structure dates from 1100, with significant modifications in the 14th century when the Lestrange family acquired it from Louis II, Count of Poitiers-Valentinois.
The castle hosts the Château Pleine Lune festival during the last weekend of July, presenting performances, film screenings, and local organic food events.
The site offers guided tours on Sundays, allowing visitors to climb the renovated Tower Casso and explore the medieval architectural elements.
Located in Parc Naturel Régional des Monts d'Ardèche, the fortress represents the largest medieval military structure in the Vivarais region.
