Église Saint-Laurent d'Aubenas

The Saint-Laurent church sits in the center of Aubenas' old town, nearly enclosed by residential buildings that create a tight urban setting. The building combines features from different periods and shows how the architecture evolved over several centuries.

The church was built in the 17th century and later expanded with elements from the Jesuit chapel, which shaped its interior furnishings. It received official status as a historical monument in 1977 in the Ardèche region.

The interior contains baroque wooden choir stalls and altarpieces that came from a former Jesuit chapel once used by the religious order in the city. These furnishings reflect the skill of local craftspeople who created them centuries ago.
