Château de Morlet, Medieval castle in Morlet, France

The main building stands between two unequal square towers, with the eastern tower covered by an exceptionally high roof.

The Louvencourt family acquired the castle in 1857 and initiated multiple restoration projects, including the creation of a new chapel.

The entrance pavilion combines defensive elements with Renaissance decorative features, including marble medallions and Latin inscriptions.

The castle opens from July through September, with guided tours available hourly between 10 AM and 6 PM.

The defense system includes cannons ports and machicolations adorned with marble lion head medallions dating from 1584.
