Château de Montauzan, Medieval castle in Lacenas, France

The castle features a conical-roofed corner tower and a golden stone winery building constructed in 1786 within its grounds.

The Bessie family acquired the estate in the late 16th century, followed by the Germain family in 1745, who renamed themselves Germain de Montauzan.

The castle cellar was transferred to the Order of Beaujolais Companions in 1966, marking its connection to regional wine traditions.

The castle maintains an active wine estate where visitors can schedule appointments for cellar tours and wine tasting sessions.

A 17th-century well with original ironwork stands in the courtyard, representing the architectural elements from different construction periods.
