Collégiale Saint-Michel de Castelnaudary

Collégiale Saint-Michel is a medieval church in Castelnaudary featuring southern Gothic design with a vaulted nave that rises approximately 23 meters high. The interior is reinforced with stone ribs and contains nine side chapels distributed along the walls.

This church was built during the second half of the 13th century and gained collegiate status in 1318 when the Saint-Papoul diocese was established. This change elevated its importance within the regional church hierarchy.
