Dino-Zoo du Doubs

Dino-Zoo is a theme park with life-sized dinosaur models arranged in chronological order along marked paths across 12 hectares of natural landscape. The site also features a 4D cinema experience about evolution, a dinosaur-themed carousel for children, and various interactive activities.

The park was established in 1992 and connects with paleontological discoveries from the Franche-Comté region, where dinosaur fossils 210 million years old were found. These local findings provided the foundation for the collection and displays shown here.

The park teaches about prehistoric ways of life through hands-on demonstrations such as fire-making and cave painting that visitors can try themselves. These activities reveal how people managed their daily lives in ancient times.

The park is open from February through November school holidays and provides free parking plus covered picnic areas for visitors. Sturdy footwear is recommended since paths cross varied terrain.

The park features a special carousel with dinosaur designs that gives children a playful experience within the prehistoric setting. This ride creates an unexpected contrast between classic amusement and scientific learning.
