Jardin Serge-Gainsbourg, Urban park in 19th arrondissement, Paris, France.
Jardin Serge-Gainsbourg is a public park in the 19th arrondissement with open lawns, meadows, walking paths, and a pond that collects rainwater. The space combines green areas with paved routes that connect different zones throughout the park.
The park was designed in 2011 by architects Matthieu Gelin and David Lafon following a 2004 design competition for the area. The project grew from a desire to create a new public gathering space for the surrounding neighborhoods.
The garden bears the name of French musician Serge Gainsbourg and displays artworks that reflect his creative world and musical influence. These artistic touches become visible as you walk through different areas of the space.
The park is accessible by metro lines 3 bis and 11 at Porte des Lilas station, as well as by several bus lines. Entry is free and the space is designed for walking, with paved paths throughout different areas.
A curved footpath called 'la ficelle' winds through different sections and creates fluid connections between spaces. This distinctive route guides visitors in an engaging way through all corners of the green space.
