Jardin botanique de Deshaies

The botanical garden extends over 7 hectares, featuring 1000 plant species arranged along 1.5 kilometers of pathways through 15 distinct garden areas.

Michel Gaillard acquired the property in 1991 following French comedian Coluche's ownership and transformed it into a botanical garden that opened in 2001.

The garden integrates traditional Caribbean plant cultivation with modern botanical conservation methods, displaying both native and introduced tropical species.

Visitors can access the garden daily from 9:00 to 16:30, with adult tickets priced at 15.90 euros and child tickets at 10.90 euros.

The garden houses a 10-meter waterfall, a pond filled with koi carp, and an aviary where visitors can feed colorful parakeets.
