Chalet d'Ivan Tourgueniev et pavillon Viardot, Literary museum in Bougival, France.

The Chalet d'Ivan Tourgueniev features two buildings connected by a garden, displaying period furnishings and personal artifacts of the Russian writer and singer Pauline Viardot.

Built in 1874, the property became a residence where Russian writer Ivan Tourgueniev spent his final years creating literary works until his death in 1883.

The museum preserves manuscripts, letters, and documents that highlight the intellectual exchanges between European artists and writers during the nineteenth century.

Visitors can schedule guided tours from March through October, with adult admission at 17 euros and children between 8 and 17 years at 12 euros.

The site contains the original study where Tourgueniev wrote his later works, maintaining the exact layout and furniture from the 1870s.
