Musée Mathurin-Méheut

The Mathurin Méheut Museum displays illustrations, ceramics, and decorative arts within the Haras national de Lamballe, focusing on nature and regional themes.

The museum opened its doors in 1972 in the Maison du Bourreau before relocating to a larger space in 2022 to accommodate its expanding collection.

The permanent exhibition features over 200 works divided into three main themes, showcasing Méheut's talents as painter, decorator, illustrator, and ceramist.

Located 1 kilometer from the railway station, the museum operates from April to January with adult tickets at 8 euros and reduced rates at 5 euros.

Méheut documented marine life at Roscoff beaches through detailed paintings, combining scientific observation with artistic interpretation in his naval documentation work.
