Haras national de Lamballe

The Haras National de Lamballe maintains extensive stables, training grounds, and pastures across its grounds in the Côtes d'Armor department of Brittany.

Established in 1743 for horse breeding, the institution received official recognition as a national stud farm in 1842 to improve local horse breeds.

The facility preserves traditional equestrian practices through regular demonstrations, competitions, and educational programs focused on horse care and training methods.

Visitors can join guided tours from Monday through Saturday to explore the stables, observe training sessions, and learn about horse breeding techniques.
