Pont suspendu de Triel, Suspension bridge in Triel-sur-Seine, France
The bridge spans 635 meters across the Seine River with a width of 22.92 meters, featuring a dual-deck design constructed of concrete and steel.
The original bridge from 1838 was destroyed in 1940 during World War II, and the current structure opened in 2003 as the newest Seine crossing in Yvelines.
The bridge structure, designed by architect Berdj Mikaelian, connects the communities of Vernouillet and Triel-sur-Seine while integrating into the Seine Valley landscape.
The D1 departmental road crossing the bridge provides a 2x2 lane connection between routes RD154 and RD190, serving nearly 15,000 vehicles per week.
The bridge utilizes a self-anchoring suspension system where the cables attach directly to the deck structure rather than traditional ground anchors.
