Roman-Gaul Baths of Entrammes

The thermal complex contains four bathing rooms arranged linearly, with Roman walls reaching heights of 8.50 meters and featuring brick windows throughout the structure.

Discovered during archaeological surveys in 1987, the baths date back to the second century and were later incorporated into the Saint-Étienne church structure.

The thermal complex functioned as both a hygiene facility and social gathering point for the local Gallo-Roman population, following traditional Roman bathing practices.

The site offers guided tours in French and English, with visits coordinated through the local tourism office of Entrammes in the Mayenne department.

The complex maintains its original hypocaust heating system beneath the structure, demonstrating Roman engineering methods for warming rooms and water.
