Château d'Antigny

Château d'Antigny is a castle in Burgundy with an unusual diamond-shaped layout as its defining feature. Its southern point is marked by a round tower built in the 15th century, while thick defensive walls from the 12th century form its outer perimeter.

The castle first appeared in historical records in 1116 under Lord Eudes of Antigny. Ownership passed through various noble families over the centuries until it changed hands significantly in 1923.

The castle served as a gathering place for artists and thinkers from across Europe and America during the 20th century. Owners welcomed creative figures who came to share ideas and work in its rooms.

The property remains private and closed to public visits, but its exterior can be appreciated from the nearby village of Antigny-le-Château. The grounds are best viewed from a distance along the village paths.
