Château de Franquetot

Château de Franquetot is a French monument from the 18th century with classical architecture located in Montsenelle. The structure combines a classical front section with a Renaissance-style wing, both featuring limestone columns and an ornamental stone pediment.

The estate passed to Laurence d'Orglandes through marriage to Robert Guillotte, triggering major renovations that reshaped the property. These changes established the classical design visible in the building today.

A temporary airstrip was built on the castle grounds during the American military presence in 1944. This unusual wartime use shows how the property was repurposed for military operations during the conflict.
