Château de Vaugien

The rectangular castle features a terrace roof and a second-floor loggia, with extensive grounds spanning 40 hectares of century-old trees and lime tree alleys.

Architect Pierre Lorotte, a student of Claude Nicolas Ledoux, completed the construction in 1829 for Amable de Thellusson, with east and west wings added in 1904.

The interior spaces include a library, grand salon, billiard room, and dining areas, maintaining their original 19th-century furnishings, curtains, and decorative elements.

The castle offers escape game experiences in its dungeons and tablet-guided exploration tours through the grounds, with advance reservations required for all activities.

Since 2005, the castle has functioned as a filming location for numerous productions, including 'Coco avant Chanel' and 'Un village français'.
