Sevid

Sevid is a small coastal settlement in the Split-Dalmatia region that stretches along the shoreline. Houses with red roofs sit scattered among rocks and vegetation, with most looking directly toward the sea.

The settlement developed gradually over recent decades from a natural coastal area into a residential place. Growth happened slowly and without major infrastructure projects transforming the landscape.

Local residents maintain traditional Dalmatian fishing practices and prepare regional dishes using fresh seafood caught directly from the adjacent waters.

The settlement sits about 30 minutes from Split and is easy to reach by car. Few shops operate here, so visitors should plan to bring what they need or shop in nearby towns.

The village lacks formal water supply systems, which kept mass tourism away from the start. This constraint has preserved the area with a quiet, undeveloped feel.
