Pasarét Franciscan Church

Pasarét Franciscan Church is a modernist religious building in the Pasarét district of Budapest with simple, clean lines and geometric forms. It features a rectangular tower and large windows that allow natural light to fill the interior.

Architect Gyula Rimanóczy designed the building between 1931 and 1934, incorporating modernist principles into its structure. The church was built during an era when contemporary architecture was reshaping religious spaces.

The church functions as an active parish center where the community gathers for worship and religious events throughout the year. Inside, religious artworks and statues reflect the Franciscan faith tradition.

The church is easily accessible by multiple bus lines that serve Pasaréti Square in the neighborhood. Services take place regularly throughout the year for visitors to attend.

A renovation completed in 2022 added new facilities to the grounds, including a kindergarten, elderly care center, and community hall. These newer spaces transformed the church into a broader community hub.
