Magazine Fort, Star fort in Phoenix Park, Dublin, Ireland
The Magazine Fort stands at the western edge of Phoenix Park, featuring thick defensive walls arranged in a geometric pentagonal pattern along its perimeter.
Initially constructed in 1735 during the reign of George II, the fort served as a storage facility for British military gunpowder and ammunition until 1922.

In 1939, the Irish Republican Army conducted a raid on the fort, successfully removing more than one million rounds of ammunition from its storage.
