Carmit

Located at the intersection of highways 60 and 31, Carmit extends across hills near forest reserve vineyards, fifteen minutes from Be'er Sheva metropolitan area.

The Jewish National Fund and OR Movement initiated Carmit's development in 2005, planning 739 housing units for North American immigrants in its first construction phase.

Carmit incorporates both secular and religious residents, including Israeli natives and international immigrants, forming a mixed residential community in the Negev region.

The settlement provides access to 55 educational facilities, with children attending schools in nearby Metar while local infrastructure continues its development phases.

Each residential plot in Carmit measures one-eighth acre, with the settlement designed to accommodate 2,500 families upon completion of all construction phases.
