The tower, completed in 2014, stands on the former location of Beit ZIM building, which burned down in 1966 and left an empty plot for several decades.

Hotel Rothschild 22 occupies floors 2 through 10, while the upper levels house offices, including Facebook's Israeli headquarters and business facilities.
The tower's ground-level space became a focal point for public discourse when citizens established the Rothschild 22 Lobby Liberation Front to address social issues.
