Schloss Elsenheim, 15th-century castle in Altstadt, Austria

The tower-shaped castle features two small turrets on its northern and southern sides, surrounded by a high protective stone wall and baroque gardens.

Hans Elsenheimer, who served as mayor of Salzburg, constructed this residence in 1449, which later underwent major renovations during the 17th century.

During the 19th century, the fourth floor housed the studio of painter Franz von Pausinger, followed by illustrator Franz Jung-Ilsenenheim.

The castle stands at the intersection of Arenberg Street and Pausinger Street in the right bank district of Salzburg's old town.

The Piech family, descendants of Porsche, currently owns this private residence, which maintains its original baroque garden layout visible through satellite imagery.
