Lineckberg

Lineckberg is a mountain summit in the Graz Region standing at approximately 710 meters in elevation. It offers access to marked trails that link to neighboring peaks like Hauenstein and Pfangberg, providing varied hiking routes for visitors of different abilities.

The trails around Lineckberg developed from ancient forest paths that in medieval times linked settlements across the Graz region through mountain passes. Over time these routes became the marked hiking trails that visitors use today.

The Nature Conservation Association maintains Lineckberg's natural heritage through regular monitoring and protection of local plant and animal species.

The summit is reachable by public transport, with the bus stop at Dueergrabenweg serving as a practical starting point for the ascent. The trails wind through forests and meadow areas and are walkable year-round, though sturdy footwear is needed when conditions are wet.

The summit path traverses through distinct zones of heather fields and beech forests, creating natural habitats for regional wildlife.
