Pribitz

The Pribitz peak reaches an elevation of 1,579 meters within the Hochschwab mountain group, forming the northern boundary of the Laming Valley in Styria.

The geological formation of Pribitz dates to the Triassic period, with its composition primarily consisting of Wettersteinkalk, a limestone material specific to Alpine regions.

The mountain area maintains traditional Alpine agricultural practices, where local farmers continue seasonal grazing and maintain mountain pastures at different elevations.

The Pribitz-Runde hiking trail extends 12.34 kilometers with an elevation gain of 848 meters, requiring approximately four hours to complete the full circuit.

Multiple access routes converge at Pribitzalm at 1,405 meters elevation, offering direct views toward the emerald waters of Grüner See below.
