Le Studio, Recording studio in Morin-Heights, Quebec, Canada

Le Studio was a recording facility in the Laurentian Mountains housed in a wooden structure with large windows overlooking a lake. The building contained professional recording equipment and offered residential accommodations for artists during their sessions.

André Perry founded Le Studio in 1972 and turned it into a major recording location that operated continuously until 2008. A fire later destroyed the building completely in 2017.

Multiple platinum albums emerged from Le Studio, including recordings by Rush, The Police, David Bowie, and The Bee Gees during the 1970s and 1980s.

The location in the mountains made the studio a secluded retreat for extended recording projects. Visitors should know the site was difficult to access and required specialized equipment to transport gear.

Bands like Rush, The Police, and David Bowie chose this location for their recordings, resulting in over 250 million albums sold. The combination of natural surroundings and professional equipment drew artists from around the world.
