Médéric Martin Bridge

The Médéric Martin Bridge is a steel structure spanning the Rivière des Prairies that links Montreal and Laval across approximately 615 meters. It accommodates eight traffic lanes along with dedicated spaces for buses and carpools.

The bridge bears the name of Médéric Martin, a Canadian politician who served as a Member of Parliament and as Mayor of Montreal. It was built using a cantilever design by the Dominion Bridge Company, a significant engineering method for crossing wide waterways.
