Ahuntsic Park

Ahuntsic Park is a public green space in Montreal with walking and cycling paths, a pond, and various recreation areas. It features a playground, an outdoor bowling green, and a covered skating rink for winter activities.

The park developed as green space for the growing Ahuntsic neighborhood in the early 20th century. A baseball field received the name Gary Carter Stadium in 2012, honoring a legendary Montreal Expos player.

The park serves as a meeting place where neighbors of all ages gather for sports competitions and seasonal celebrations. On warm days, families occupy the picnic areas while children play together on the various play structures.

The grounds are easy to reach and offer washrooms, drinking fountains, and free parking for visitors. Pathways are wide and level, making navigation straightforward with strollers or wheelchairs.

The park features a specialized play area with universal-access equipment, including parent-child swings and adaptable play structures. This design allows children of different abilities to play and explore together.
