Oro-Medonte

Oro-Medonte is a township municipality in Simcoe County, Ontario, and covers a rural area with villages, farmland, and wooded sections. The administrative framework manages development and services for the scattered communities within its boundaries.

The area was originally home to Indigenous peoples before European settlers arrived in the 1800s and established farms. The merger of Oro and Medonte communities in the 20th century created the present township structure.

The township contains several small villages and hamlets scattered throughout, each offering access to walking routes and natural areas. Local shops and services are available in the various settlements to serve both residents and visitors.
