Burl's Creek Event Grounds, Event venue in Oro-Medonte, Canada

Burl's Creek Event Grounds is a 600-acre outdoor venue on Highway 11 between Barrie and Orillia, in Oro-Medonte, Ontario. It holds three natural turf amphitheatres, parking for 33,000 cars, and a retrofitted 1930s timber-framed barn as its centrepiece.

Burl's Creek has operated as an event park since 1984 and changed ownership in 2014, when the site was reworked with three natural turf amphitheatres and a 1930s timber-framed barn as a centrepiece. The owners bought the adjacent Barrie Speedway in 2015 and demolished it to add parking and camping land; before its closure a private race was held there, with Joe Pileggi finishing second in a police car.

Boots and Hearts, held here each August since 2015, is billed as Canada's largest multi-day country music and camping festival, drawing more than 45,000 people over four days and named CCMA Festival of the Year in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The name Burl's Creek comes from the waterway crossing the property. Camping on unzoned land is allowed only alongside festivals.

The site is best reached by car, and different entry points are used depending on the event, so checking in advance which gate to use saves time on arrival. The property is large enough that getting from the parking area to the stage can take a good walk, so comfortable footwear is a good idea.

Despite hosting crowds that can reach into the tens of thousands, the site sits in a rural township where noise rules apply, and sound levels at events are actively monitored throughout the night. This means the technical setup of each concert is shaped in part by the need to stay within those limits, which is uncommon for a venue of this scale.
