Elmvale Jungle Zoo, Wildlife park in Springwater, Canada
The 30-acre Elmvale Jungle Zoo contains over 300 animals from South America, Australia, Africa, and Asia in natural settings with shaded trails.
Starting as a 2-acre reptile and bird facility in 1967, the Persi family purchased the zoo in 1972 and expanded it to its current size.
The zoo receives 150 school visits during June, providing educational programs about wildlife conservation and environmental protection for students across Ontario.
The facility operates seasonally from Victoria Day weekend until Canadian Thanksgiving, with admission prices ranging from free for toddlers to 22.95 CAD for adults.
White lions and tigers roam the grounds while monkeys and lemurs display their natural behaviors in specially designed habitats throughout the zoo.
