Glebe Community Centre

The building features a Palladian architecture with a large domed room known as Scotton Hall and multiple activity spaces across different levels.

Originally constructed as St. James Methodist Church between 1914 and 1924, the structure was later purchased by the City of Ottawa for community purposes.

The center houses a pottery studio, dance spaces, and multipurpose rooms where local residents participate in various educational and recreational programs.

Located at 175 Third Avenue in Ottawa, the facility provides accessible entrances, an elevator, designated parking spaces, and air-conditioned meeting rooms.

The center survived a proposed relocation to Brewer Park in the 1990s due to strong community opposition, leading to extensive renovations instead.
