Bürresheim Castle

Bürresheim Castle stands on a rocky hill above the Nette River, with interconnected buildings, walls, gates, and towers spread across the site. The residential rooms remain intact and can be explored through guided visits.

The castle was built before 1157 and remained occupied for nearly eight centuries until its last residents left in 1921. Throughout this long period, it survived regional conflicts and wars without suffering major damage.
