Bismarck Tower, Memorial tower in Erfurt, Germany.
The stone tower reaches 22 meters in height and features an observation platform at 19 meters offering views of the surrounding area.
The tower was constructed in 1901 following architect Wilhelm Kreis design, with construction costs reaching 35,450 Marks at the time of completion.
The monument represents a nationwide movement to honor Otto von Bismarck through towers, with approximately 240 such structures built across German territories.
The structure remains closed to public access due to safety concerns related to its deteriorating condition and falling debris risks.
During the German Democratic Republic period, authorities renamed the structure to Peace Tower to distance it from its original historical connection.
