The Town Park extends over 6.5 hectares south of Erfurt's main train station, featuring gardens, pathways, and a prominent staircase installation.
Established in 1908 on the former site of Daberstedter Schanze fortifications, the park emerged during the city's expansion in the late 19th century.
The park displays multiple sculptures, including the 1911 fountain figure by Arthur Lewin-Funcke and the sculpture 'Diskutierende Kinder' by Hubert Schiefelbein.
Visitors access the park through the Stadtparktreppe staircase, which underwent a 1.27 million euro restoration in 2014, including renewed water features.
The park contains rare botanical specimens, including Amur cork trees and a substantial mulberry tree with a two-meter trunk circumference.
