Predigtstuhl

Predigtstuhl is a 1,613 meter (5,295 foot) mountain peak in the Lattengebirge range of the Berchtesgaden Alps. The summit offers wide views across Bavaria and provides clear sightlines to the surrounding alpine peaks.

A cable car system was built and opened in 1928 to connect Bad Reichenhall directly to the peak. This development transformed the mountain into an accessible destination for a wider range of visitors beyond experienced mountain climbers.

An alpine restaurant at the cable car station provides food and refreshment while you gaze at the surrounding landscape. The Schlegelmulde area nearby serves as a launch site for experienced paragliders exploring the airspace above the Berchtesgaden Alps.
