Windstärke 10 – Wrack- und Fischereimuseum Cuxhaven, Maritime museum in Cuxhaven, Germany.
The museum occupies two historical fish packing halls connected by a modern building, featuring exhibits about shipwrecks and fishing across 2,000 square meters.
The museum documents the evolution of North Sea fishing techniques, including the dangerous early period when over 1,000 German fishermen lost their lives in northern waters.
The exhibition demonstrates daily life aboard fishing vessels through authentic recreations of living quarters and interactive displays about catching fish near Iceland.
From April to October, visitors can explore the museum daily between 10:00 and 18:00, while winter hours run from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 17:00.
Visitors can experience simulated deep-sea conditions with force 10 winds, practice tying nautical knots, and watch actual North Sea diving expeditions on large screens.
