Große Neugierde, Cultural monument in Steglitz-Zehlendorf, Germany.

The Große Neugierde is a circular structure designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel and located near Lake Jungfernsee. This rotunda offers views across Glienicke Bridge, the surrounding lakes, and the suburbs of Potsdam.

Karl Friedrich Schinkel created this building between 1835 and 1837 during a flourishing period of German architecture. It was part of the artistic development of Prussian landscape design during that era.

The building was created as a tea pavilion and observation tower that reflects the neoclassical style of the 19th century. It served as a place where visitors could linger and enjoy the surrounding landscape.

The monument is located within Klein-Glienicke Park, which can be reached by local transportation. The site is open for visitors throughout the year, especially if you enjoy exploring the surrounding park grounds.

The building stands within Klein-Glienicke Park, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site that includes Potsdam and Sanssouci. This connection makes it an often-overlooked example of Prussian garden architecture.
