Industry park Schöneweide, Industrial heritage museum in Oberschöneweide district, Berlin, Germany.
The site is a former industrial complex in Oberschöneweide with factory halls from the era of mass production. A 600 square meter exhibition space displays machinery, tools, and electronic components from the former transformer factory near the Spree River.
The area was founded in 1895 when AEG built large factory halls, making it the biggest industrial location within Berlin during the 20th century. The buildings date from when the electrical industry shaped the city.
The site preserves memories of television electronics production with objects like one of the first East German microwave ovens, electronic organs, and radar systems from the 1980s. Visitors can see how these devices shaped everyday life in East Germany.
The exhibition is open Wednesday through Sunday from 14:00 to 18:00 and is easily reached by public transport. Guided tours can be arranged and help visitors understand the industrial history better.
The complex now shares space with HTW Berlin University, which operates several academic buildings within the historic factory halls. One former factory building was transformed into an artist space by musician Bryan Adams.
