Haus Riswick

Haus Riswick is an agricultural education center in Kleve that comprises multiple buildings with barns and experimental facilities for livestock training. The facility includes modern infrastructure designed to provide hands-on learning in dairy farming and animal husbandry practices.

The school was founded in 1920 as one of Germany's first dairy training institutions. The campus underwent significant expansion in the 1950s with the acquisition of additional land to support growing educational needs.

The institution maintains strong connections with regional farmers through weekly markets where local producers sell agricultural products every Thursday afternoon.

The site is best explored on foot or by bicycle since the different areas are spread across a larger property. Wear sturdy shoes, especially if you plan to visit the barn facilities.

The buildings feature distinctly designed oval-shaped barns from the 1970s that allow better visibility of all animals inside. This architectural choice was developed to make work flow and animal care more efficient.
