Raffelberg power station, Run-of-river power station in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany.

The Raffelberg power station features four vertical Francis turbines coupled with three-phase generators, producing electricity from the flow of the Ruhr River.

Built between 1923 and 1925 by architects Arthur Pfeifer and Hans Großmann, the station aimed to reduce coal consumption by 2,200 wagon loads annually.

The power station integrates into the Route der Industriekultur, demonstrating the industrial development that shaped North Rhine-Westphalia's regional identity.

Located near Raffelberg Bridge, the facility generates 10,000V of electricity through its modernized control systems, contributing to the regional power supply.

The power station received architectural heritage monument status in 1986, preserving its original design while maintaining active electricity production.
