Description
Hünstein is a mountain in the Gladenbacher Bergland region that rises to 503.7 meters above sea level. Steep slopes and thick forest cover characterize the landscape throughout the summit area.
History
The mountain contains remains of ancient settlements, including a circular wall structure from the Hallstatt and La Tène periods. A viewing tower was built in 1930 by members of the Upper Hessian Mountain Association.
